Craving, An Embracing

Image

Craving,

an embracing …

peace within the sure mist of life.

Transitioning,

the arranging …

His change, in the midst of the divine pre-arrrange.

Craving,

me embracing …

an exchange within the mist of strife.

Feelings,

and so strange …

His exchange, in the midst of my changing gaze.

Craving,

us embracing …

a joy within the mist of a fight.

Roaring,

a majestic thunder …

His whisper, in the midst of the growing plunder.

Craving,

an embracing …

Christ within the mist of making it right.

Suddenly,

a crisis …

His presence, in the midst of the ongoing process.

1 Peter 2:2 (Holy Bible: New International Version) … “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”

Hebrews 13:8 (Holy Bible: English Standard Version) … “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Life is about change, the constant change … but, in the midst of that change, God remains the same – yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. He will never change, though we change – embrace it, and reflect on what is good!

Composed by Nancy Clone (Faris) Byrne as a modern day psalm, reflective prayer on March 9, 2009. Revised on January 17, 2013.
