Wounded People Wound People

Have you ever been wounded or wounded someone with words, an action, event, etc.? I think we all have.

Have you noticed wounded people wound people? Think about it! They do! And, continue to do so if their wound is not addressed!

To move forward, the wounded one needs to see the heart of the one who wounded – one who is broken, vulnerable, authentic over the pain inflicted. If they don’t, the person wounded will not feel safe or heal. Healing comes when they see heartbreak, something visible, a tangible action. Allow your heart to break from their place of brokenness and take responsibility for your part. Ask forgiveness. Once you’ve done this, healing begins.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. ~ James 5:16
