I was so excited when we moved into our new home last November to discover the former owners had three above ground vegetable/flower garden’s. Though it was wintertime, unable to plant, the season came to do so. As you can see a small strawberry has appeared. Gazing upon this yummy produce, not eatable yet, it’s just so amazing how God provides all that we need to nourish our bodies, therefore taking time to be thankful for this one of many fruits to emerge.
Pondering also the spiritual significance as it pertains to my growth to become more Christ-like. The digging, pruning, waiting but one day fully made perfect. Though positionally perfected in the eyes of the Father now, it’s being sanctified daily here that is hard.
“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.” (John 17:16-19 ESV)
“And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 ESV)
