Forgiveness starts in the mind but must include our spirit (conscience).
With that said, lets remember God chose the righteousness of Christ for US.
That forgiveness is a decision from the heart too.
Forgiveness is not based on a feeling. It’s not excusing. It’s choosing!
If we don’t forgive from the heart we have only made an intellectual decision, therefore the only alternative to forgiveness is bitterness.
All relationships become distant and defiled by hatred, resentment, anger, suspicion, jealously, murder, etc., resulting in a blockage between God and us (Proverbs 17:22).
Our lives then become open to the enemy (torturers) of our soul (Matthew 18:34-35).
All spiritual and emotional healing, including deliverance, depends on forgiveness.
Forgiveness is humanly impossible (John 15:5).
But in Christ all things are possible.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
