It’s a lazy kind of day. Been wooed to relax by the pool on this sunny Saturday afternoon. And as I bask to the jingle of wind blown tunes, chimes given by my best friend who now resides in heaven, they’re whispering be still in the presence of an all-knowing, forever-loving God.
And instead of listening to the noise of my worries, it’s all about listening to the voice of the LORD, to take every thought captive to His WORD. Reminded again not to let my joy come from circumstances, because circumstances change, the LORD does not. His WORD prevails. His love endures.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
In the rush and noise of life, as you have intervals, step home within yourselves and be still. Wait upon God, and feel His good presence; this will carry you evenly through your day’s business. (William Penn)
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:18-22)
