Just like a waterfall circulates, cleanses, provides a wash which purifies… I’m pondering afresh Christ does that for me. Thankful sin was taken care of and finished on the Cross. That Jesus’ blood circulated, cleansed. He came to save, not condemn. Grateful God the Father chooses to see me through the lens of Christ’ righteousness.
Reminded again this fractured world is only full of flawed people that impart wounds. Sin did that, and all of us bear that same stain passed from generation to generation imparted from the Garden of Eden.
That sin-stain, it wounded and wounds.
The result, I’ve wounded and been wounded.
Wounds bleed and continue to leave a stain if not dealt with properly, often forming a scar but they too can fade and disappear, be gathered and swept away, miraculously, in and only through the “it is finished” wash in Christ’ blood, sanctifying continuous wash of Christ infused, a God-holiness for those who believe.
By the way, did you you notice the leaf (in the picture)?
So just like the leaf left on the waterfall steps, caught momentarily, it too will be swept away. Once for all set free.
We are that leaf. I am that leaf.
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift, Jesus.
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17)
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. (Romans 8:10)
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly. (Galatians 2:20-21)
So that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:29-31)
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:21-23)
