As I gaze upon the sky before going to sleep and then awake…
I’m mesmerized by the array of colors and brilliance but also the elusiveness of what is spoken yet unheard. Reminded again that dreams are much the same; are very colorful and brilliant but elusive too. The missed opportunity to hear what needs to be heard. Speaking so much but most often ignored. That everyone has them, but like the morning fog; they quickly evaporate.
I’ve had those experiences, dreams so vivid but upon waking disappear.
Conviction comes so sweetly, you think! Pondering again why I believe it’s so important to take every opportunity, no matter how inconvenient, to be ever so diligent to capture dreams before they simply vanish.
Because very few dreams are vivid enough to automatically burn themselves into our consciousness. And dreams speak the hidden treasures and hopes and pain and sorrow and joy of the heart. They’re simply a heart to heart dialogue between God and ourselves; not one to be dismissed. An avenue which God uses to speak a “word of wisdom” or “word of knowledge” or in some cases prophetic.
Thanks be to God for this indescribable gift!
Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. (1 Corinthians 14:1)
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:8-11)
