As I sat praying this morning, a few moments ago, my spiritual eyes were more keenly awakened (physical eyes closed) and I saw a picture of lies blasted, being broken apart, decimated, crushed, forever destroyed.
Like fireworks on display, finally exposed, the blasting across the sky in the midst of a heavenly intrusion was so powerful, glorious! The scattering of worthlessness into nothingness, an eternal abyss. His light magnifying what’s clearly hidden in the dark, at one time unseen, yes, but also seen, was now exposed, disappearing, a sweep per se, an extinguishing by the Almighty. The commanding mouth of God spoke, and the lies, they fled into the abrupt void from which they came!
Pondering how Webster’s Dictionary describes VOID: “not valid or legally binding, invalid, null, ineffective, nonviable, useless, worthless, nugatory.”
Isn’t God good!
I’m amazed at HIS goodness, the magnificent swiftness in which the Almighty takes command! It is beyond my understanding, comprehension when and where and how the supernatural intersects, dissects, takes action and obliterates! Not by a whispering, instead, a loud implosion so profound which brings what is clearly binding to a stunning halt, commanding it useless! Viewing this unfolding of glory, all lies silenced, I see His presence placing truth, again and again. What remains? LIGHT! There is simply no power or residue left in the lie(s).
There is no comparison in the ability of a lie to impact in contrast to the blasting, the annihilation power of God to disarm!
Daunting! And to think, I too hold within me that same power, the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit!
So encouraged, a privilege to press in, acknowledge that God is on the move with those who have succumbed to the lie(s), that they too will be set free! On the other hand, I’m challenged by the need to be more aware, to beware, the thief will come to kill, steal and rob by using a manipulative fiery dart to penetrate. Darts of condemnation, a temptation emerging with a deceptive misdirect. If misused, given into, will provide permission, an open door for the power of the lie to possess, control, change and destroy me. If not replaced with truth, and quickly, it is only a matter of time I will fall prey to a slippery slope that leads to bondage, false belief, a misplaced concept of who God is!
Don’t want to go there!
We are all susceptible to the lies (false arguments) that seek to control and come into our minds! That is the truth!
Lies, they only have the power to destroy and place us in bondage if we allow it. This also is truth and why God has said …
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:7-11)
God has given me, you, the tools to fight warfare but on His terms! (Ephesians 6:10-18)
A lie is an argument believed that contradicts the person and power of Christ! So, have you ever had someone accuse you of something that was not true? I have! Have you ever heard the whisperings not from yourself or accused yourself of something that was not true? Me too! Either way, it really doesn’t matter but what does is knowing without a shadow of doubt any false argument (lie) launched against me, you, can turn into a stronghold in our mind that has the ability and will most likely spiritually debilitate. So important to know the truth, not what you think is truth or have been told is truth. Search and truly abide in WHO is the SOURCE of TRUTH! I’ll give you a hint. It’s God who came in the flesh, JESUS!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’” For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. (John 1:14-18)
Encouraged today to press on, to continue to trust God for the unseen to be seen, for needs to be met that I cannot meet, to meet those I can where the Spirit leads, for the supernatural presence of God to intersect where I can not, should not, and not only into the lives of loved ones but friends and strangers. I’m continually learning, relearning, letting go and allowing God to work because he is all loving and sovereign, has always done it and will continue to do so! It is His will that none shall perish!
When the Spirit of the truth comes taking every thought captive… LIES are BLASTED!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you. The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead. So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed. I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. “Selah” Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. (Psalm 143)
